COVID, Statistics, Anti-semitism, Net Zero and more with Norman Fenton

Norman Fenton is a British mathematician and computer scientist with an interest in risk assessment, probability, statistics, and public health technologies.

He is now an emeritus Professor of Risk Information Management in the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London.

Professor Fenton and fellow senior researchers provided written evidence to a parliamentary committee in Nov 2020 calling for evidence concerning data transparency and accountability during the COVID-19 crisis.

Since 2020 to this date Norman and his colleagues believe that the statistics provided to and by the Government during the COVID-19 crisis have been inadequate and have been too easily used by influencers and decision-makers to fit particular narratives that have exaggerated the scale of the crisis.

In this conversation, we discuss a wide array of topics, from the manipulation of data to censorship and the capture of academia. We also explore the topic of Net Zero and its futility and more sinister potential impact on our lives.
